Brdo pri Kranju Castle is Renaissance-style building erected in 1510 by the regional governor and viceroy of Kranj, Jurij Egkh, and was rebuilt several times. With the arrival of the Zois family the castle achieved international fame, while the Karađorđević Yugoslav royal family and later Josip Broz Tito used it as an occasional and protocol residence.

Today, the castle is used as the main protocol facility of the Republic of Slovenia, and serves to host presidents, representatives of royal families, diplomats and other prominent dignitaries.

Accessible parking	There are marked disabled parking spaces next to all entrances.
Accessible entrance	The entrance is accessible through paved road with a high fence. The ticket office is next to the entrance. Visitors with EU disability card can enter Brdo Park free of charge.
Accessible sanitary facilities	The estate has adapted sanitary facilities.
Accessible café or restaurant	There are several restaurants on the estate, with at least the outdoor parts being accessible.
Accessible paths	The paths are mostly paved and obstacle-free, while some places are made of well-condensed macadam. The bridges are easily accessible and adapted to all types of wheelchair users. We recommend having full battery in case of motorized wheelchair.

The estate also offers several rental options. The various conference rooms at the Brdo Estate can accommodate from 10 to 550 participants. The largest lake at Brdo also boasts the picturesque Duck Island, which features a wooden pavilion and a log cabin with a covered terrace.
