Blooming nature on seventeen acres

Located on the right bank of the Savinja river in the town of Mozirje, the Mozirski gaj flower park opens its gates for visitors at the beginning of April until the beginning of October. Its mission is to raise horticultural awareness with millions of flowers that give the estate a special magic. There is no entrance fee for people with disabilities, but those who are unable to visit it can also have a virtual tour of the park.

The park has a variety of offers, such as seasonal tulip plantations, herb and Japanese garden, the EU avenue, trees and shrubs, descendant of the oldest vine in Slovenia, the enchanted village, the observation tower and a large collection of open-air museum.

Accessible parking	There are no specially marked disabled parking spots, but the parking lot is large enough.
Accessible entrance	The reception desk is fully accessible. The path in the flower park is made of macadam, with part of it made of strewn sand which should not pose an obstacle for people in wheelchair. Unfortunately, the Japanese Garden and the observation tower are not wheelchair-accessible.
Accessible paths	The macadam paths are well-kept and accessible, they are wide enough and without archaeological barriers.
Accessible toilet	There is a small disabled toilet. However, the door opens to the inside, which means that it cannot be closed when the wheelchair is in the toilet. The user will need to transfer to the toilet and leave the wheelchair outside.
Accessible café or restaurant	There is a restaurant at the park with accessible terrace.
Additional accessible offer	The flower park offers three wheelchairs for rent. They are intended for elderly and people with disabilities. The park hosts various events and temporary exhibitions, such as exhibition of tulips, summer flowers, exotic animals, giant pumpkins and competition for the heaviest pumpkin, the Christmas Fairy Tale and Winter’s Tale.
