Izola, an old fishing town with a rich history and a special Venetian charm, is known for the warmth and hospitality of its inhabitants. You can feel the atmosphere of the Mediterranean every time you walk through the narrow medieval streets, see the boats rocking in the harbour, and enjoy the culinary specialities of the sea and the noble drops of wine. Its green surroundings are renowned for its viticulture and olive-growing, and it is also popular among the disabled for its aesthetically sophisticated and fully accessible Floramare Hotel, just 20 metres from the adapted beach and the promenade of Izola in a beautiful Mediterranean park.

Floramare Health Resort is located just steps from the town centre, surrounded by a park that offers beautiful sea views from the hotel rooms. The resort’s beach is adapted for people with disabilities and mothers with strollers, offering a unique tourist experience for all, regardless of their physical limitations. The entire resort has been designed with full accessibility in mind – from the pool lift, sea access ramp, adapted sauna and fitness facilities to the fully accessible outdoor areas – the beach and the hotel’s park as well as the walking paths.

Accessible parking	Disabled parking is fully accessible and signposted; guests can also be picked up at the airport, train station or even at home in an adapted vehicle.
Accessible entrance	The entrance to the building, the restaurant, the pool, the beach, the spa… are accessible to all.
Accessible room	Rooms are spacious and each has an electric bed. Ceiling lifts for transferring people to and from the wheelchair are in both the rooms and the bathrooms. All rooms maintain an elegant hotel appearance.

Adapted bathroom	The bathroom is elegant and fully accessible for people with disabilities, and there is a ceiling lift to transfer people to and from their wheelchairs.
Accessible café and restaurant	The café and restaurant are fully accessible, as well as the beach bar.
Accessible beach	The resort’s beach is the only beach on the Slovenian coast that is fully accessible to people with physical disabilities. It offers a concrete ramp to the sea, a therapeutic pool with heated seawater and, a lift for easier access to the water and adapted toilets with a changing area. Refreshments are available at the beach bar. A variety of swimming equipment and aids are available for hire to make swimming easier for people with disabilities. During the swimming season, there is also a team of lifeguards on the beach, as well as additional staff to assist with getting in and out of the sea and the therapy pool.
Additional accessible offer	For a truly carefree stay and activities, additional offers are available in the form of medical and technical equipment rental, ranging from room hoists to electric scooters and wheelchairs, crutches, a bedsore mattress, a freestanding trapeze, a toilet chair, etc. This makes it easier for guests to pack and transport additional equipment or try out gadgets they may not have at home.
Accessible walking paths	The paths in the park next to the hotel are fully accessible to all guests, allowing them to explore the park comfortably and independently, and there is also a accessible path to the beach and the Isola promenade.

Floramare resort offers 24-hour medical care to ensure guests’ comfort and safety. Dedicated staff are always on hand to assist with personal hygiene, entering and exiting the pool and sauna, and any other tasks, helping to create an equal and enjoyable stay for all. They also organise wheelchair-accessible transport. They can also arrange transport for excursions or sightseeing tours. They are transported in a vehicle adapted for disabled people with reduced mobility. An experienced chauffeur will help them get in and out of the vehicle and take care of their luggage.
